Medium efficiency filters can also be used as front-end filters for high-efficiency filtration to reduce the load of high-efficiency filtration and extend its service life; Due to the large filtration area of the medium efficiency air filter, it has a large dust holding capacity, high wind speed, and low resistance, and is considered to be the best medium efficiency air filter structure currently available.

Characteristics of medium efficiency filters:The frame of a medium efficiency air filter comes in the form of cold plate spray coating, galvanized sheet, etc. The filter materials include non-woven fabric, glass fiber, etc. The filter particle size is 1-5um, and the filtration efficiency is 60-95% (colorimetric method). The filter materials are usually divided into F5 (earth yellow), F6 (green), F7 (light pink), F8 (light yellow), F9 (white).

Medium efficiency air filters are divided into two types: bag type and non bag type. Bag type filters include F5, F6, F7, F8, F9, while non bag type filters include FB (plate type medium efficiency filter), FS (partition type medium efficiency filter), and FV (combination type medium efficiency filter).

1. The main control parameters selected for medium efficiency filter products include rated air volume, filtration efficiency at rated air volume, initial resistance at rated air volume, dust holding capacity, and external dimensions.
2. According to the method specified in JG/T22-1999 "Performance Test Method for Air Filters for General Ventilation", filters with an atmospheric dust counting efficiency of ≥ 20% and<70% for particles with a particle size of ≥ 1.0 μ m are considered medium efficiency air filters.

3. Common filter materials for medium efficiency filters include glass fiber, non-woven fabric, etc.
4. The manufacturer should provide the dust holding capacity of the filter.
5. The initial resistance of the medium efficiency filter should be ≤ 80Pa. During design, the final resistance can be calculated as twice the initial resistance of the filter.
6. The initial resistance of the filter shall not exceed 10% of the resistance of the product sample. After the regeneration and cleaning of renewable or washable filter materials, the efficiency should not be lower than 85% of the original indicators, and the resistance should not be higher than 115% of the original indicators.
7. The air filter should meet the fire prevention requirements, and the flash point of the coating of the air filter should not be lower than 163 ℃.
8. Medium efficiency filters should not be used independently and should be combined with coarse efficiency air filters.
